Since 1992, Matthew has been a passionate environmental activist, dedicating his life to promoting eco-friendly living and sustainable solutions. His journey began with funding and promoting eco properties that serve as showcases, teaching communities how they can reduce energy consumption and grow more food on their own land. His belief in leading by example has inspired many to embrace a more sustainable way of life.

One of Matthew's significant early projects was the Total Transformation Sustainable Showcase in Arizona, a massive endeavor that highlighted the possibilities of sustainable living. Through platforms like Facebook, Matthew shared the project's progress and insights, reaching a wide audience.

In February 2022, Matthew joined the ReFi space, a pivotal moment in his journey. Since then, he has hosted or co-hosted thousands of sessions, creating platforms for artists, humanitarians, and philanthropists to share their stories and spread awareness of the urgent need for funding and attention to ReFi projects worldwide. His extensive work with Jimi Cohen on Max Impact, as well as hosting Gitcoin Spaces through Let’s Grow DAO, underscores his commitment to fostering collaboration and education in the space.

Matthew’s dedication to Regenerative Finance (ReFi) and environmental sustainability spans decades. He has been a self-funded researcher and promoter since 1999, only stepping away briefly to work in the solar field for three years. His tireless work to promote ReFi led to the creation of Sedona Green in partnership with the Sedona International Film Festival, where he brought eco films and solution-driven round tables to a broader audience.

His environmental work also includes attending and learning from major eco-events like Bioneers Conferences, Farm Aid, Clean Cities Phoenix, and the Clinton Global Initiative. As a co-creator and Board of Director for Team 54 Project International, Matthew taught climate science and advocated for global solutions to climate change.

In recent years, Matthew has been building a ReFi hub in Serbia, working tirelessly to establish a platform that will support impactful ReFi projects around the world. His goal? To help transition trillions of dollars into the ReFi space over the next decade, driving global environmental and financial change. With plans to establish a Hemp Factory and promote Regenerative Farming on a new farm in Serbia, Matthew continues to push the boundaries of sustainable development.

As part of the Shifting Solutions DAO, Matthew’s vision includes bringing together 144 Board members and global experts to create a massive online ReFi hub. This hub will provide essential resources, including websites, grant writing, and strategic guidance, for ReFi projects to achieve their financial and impact goals.

Matthew’s legacy is one of relentless dedication to a sustainable future. His efforts will continue to inspire and drive progress, both locally and globally, as he works to create lasting impact in the ReFi movement.
